Merci

Bell couldn't organize a 2 car funeral. The funeral being Bell and the Teachers Pension. RIP losers...tick, tick, tick only 4 more days till December 11th. when BCE will announce a major 11th hour turnaround for the deal...but it is just window dressing so that the executives get their bonus for Christmas and retire without having the deal die on their watch. At least Ted Rogers saw this Bell fiasco go to crap before he passed away. Now there was a real businessman who could make and win deals.

As Manager of a large Technical Support department for another ISP in Canada that offers Nexxia wholesale DSL, I had the exact reaction when I saw several tickets come in french. When I brought it to Nexxia's upper management during one of my Monthly meetings with them they laughed and told me to use babble fish or learn to speak french.

My reaction after getting over the initial shock was also laughter, followed by pity when I realized that Bell will never change, and that will be the death of them.

No wonder people are leaving and heading towards Rogers and other carriers.

for the sake of those Nexxia employees in MTL

Thanks for the post Jim, long time no see!

As with any acquisition, there would be some uncertainty, but it's my understanding from some fairly senior friends of mine at Bell that it's business as usual, even after the Teachers deal. I think this is a case of Bell just being Bell.

You have just highlighted the cultural barrier that Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, a largely English organization, based in Toronto, is going to have to overcome in owning a Montreal-based company in a largely bilingual city. Sounds like staff morale is already starting to deteriorate with all the uncertainty they must be going through.
